The Serie A side hasn’t tabled a bid for the marksman yet. However, they have a timing advantage over Napoli since their competitors need to sell Victor Osimhen first. They won’t pay €40M as the counterparty request, though. Instead, they aim to get him at the same conditions Roma did or for a much lower fee.
Chalobah and Lukaku aren’t part of the technical plans of new coach Enzo Maresca, while Chukwuemeka could stay put if Milan or other sides don’t table a convincing offer. Chelsea don’t want to lose money on him following an €18M investment. A simple loan to a team where he could be a regular is also an option.
The Rossoneri already targeted the defender in the past. They earmarked him again as they could endure some exits in the back. For instance, Newcastle United are keen on Malick Thiaw. They might add one man regardless. He has featured 80 times in the last three seasons.
