Milan Start Searching for a Proper Backup for Tomori

Milan have had troubles this year when Fikayo Tomori was not available. Regardless of what will happen with Alessio Romagnoli, the management is considering acquiring a player with similar characteristics. They allowed seven goals in the past two matches when the Englishman was on the mend.

Bremer is one of the top candidates for the role, Calciomercato.com reports. He is in his fourth season in Serie and has become rock-solid during his time at Torino. However, Inter and other top teams are after him too, which could make his price tag go up. The 24-year-old is under contract till 2023.

Milan are also looking at a few foreign options. Antonio Rudiger could be an ideal profile, and he is on an expiring deal. However, his sizeable wages are not aligned with the team’s policy. A more feasible option is Eintracht Frankfurt’s Evan N’Dicka. The Rossoneri had tracked him as a possible backup to Theo Hernandez before signing Fode Ballo-Touré. He has switched to center-back this season, faring well.

After pursuing Loice Badé in the past, who then transferred to Rennes, Milan have laid their eyes on another Lens center-back, Facundo Medina. He too is very aggressive and has turned heads in the past couple of years. He has two caps with the Argentinian national team. On the other hand, Olympique Marseille, Manchester United and Atletico Madrid took notice of his performances too. The Rossoneri are never particularly keen on taking part in bidding wars, the specialized site adds.
