Milan Stopper Kjaer Shines Light on UCL Nights and Napoli Clash

Milan center-back Simon Kjaer has been enjoying a decent return to first-team football following a lengthy layoff due to fitness problems. The defender has appeared in successive H2Hs against Napoli within the past month and thinks there is one player the Rossoneri have be wary of going forward ahead of the UEFA Champions League quarter-final second leg.

In his pre-match post conference, Kjaer spoke of Milan’s growth in recent years and the importance of the clash against Milan in the return leg.

“It’s a joy to be at Milan, one of my dreams. Then the path taken as a team was. I had a dream, but I didn’t expect it like this. We made a lot of steps. The coach’s point of view made the difference, who always pushes to improve and not be happy. But the path taken, no one would have said, we would all have signed years ago.”

UCL matches hit different, according to the experienced stopper.

“These matches here, you never know when you’ll have another one. They are evenings that stay with you forever. For better or for worse. We play football for this. This emotion and adrenaline. The other night at San Siro one of the most good experiences of my career. Tomorrow will be different, but it gives emotions and sensations that you can’t find anywhere else.”

Finally he spoke of the return of marksman Victor Osimhen.

“We meet him, as we have met others. Maximum respect, but let’s think about us.”
