Milan Striker Giroud: “I Have Always Liked the American MLS”

Despite all the talk surrounding his stay, Olivier Giroud is yet to extend his contract at Milan, which is set to expire at the end of the season. The all-time top scorer for the France national team has revealed that talks are ongoing with the Rossoneri management surrounding his renewal.

Giroud was interviewed by Canal Football Club (via MilanNews), wherein he disclosed what he clearly has in mind going forward.

“I want to renew my contract with Milan. With the Scudetto victory, I entered the hearts of the Milan fans. I’m talking to the club for renewal, if there is the possibility of finishing my career at high levels in Milan, I will do it.”

However, he didn’t rule out a move away from Europe, if possible.

“Alternatively, I could choose an exotic destination, I have always liked the American MLS”.

Finally, Giroud spoke of his future with France.

“My goal is to continue scoring and winning trophies in the Milan shirt. As for France, I don’t know yet. I’m still thinking about it”.

The ex-Arsenal man has 23 goals in 62 appearances for the Rossoneri since joining from Chelsea in 2021.
