Milan Suffer Setback in Zirkzee Talks, Juventus Lurking

Milan didn’t meet Kia Joorabchian in person, who represents Joshua Zirkzee, on Tuesday as rumored. The discussions about his transfer continued over the phone. The commissions continue to be a significant obstacle, Alfredo Pedullà informed.

The agent isn’t doing the Rossoneri any favor. He raised his demands after things seemed headed in the right direction in previous days. The club’s brass will have to decide whether to comply with the request or move on. They’d shift their attention toward Artem Dovbyk, Santiago Gimenez, or other marksmen in that event.

Joorabchian has a tight relationship with Cristiano Giuntoli, and Milan fear Juventus might be behind the impasse for Zirkzee. The agent is helping broker the blockbuster deal with Aston Villa. The Bianconeri currently don’t have a need at the no.9 role. Still, Dusan Vlahovic has a very high salary. Nobody is truly untouchable for them with the right offer.

The Bologna star might fall on the radar of Arsenal and Manchester United. The Rossoneri and two Premier League sides will miss out on Benjamin Sesko. He has officially decided to stay at RB Leipzig and renew his contract.

Per Tuttomercatoweb, Milan usually don’t pay more than 10/15 percent commissions on their signings and would have to make an exception for Zirkzee. They spent €2.9M for Paquetà, €2.8M for Charles De Ketelaere, €1.8M for Rafael Leao, and €1.5M for Mike Maignan. Instead, Joorabchian is asking for €15M. He believes the forward’s €40M release clause, which he negotiated, is below market value. The Rossoneri might meet the representative in the middle at €10M.
