Milan Taking into Considerations Two More Attackers

Milan are examining more options to bolster their frontline given the issues that have arisen in the Joshua Zirkzee deal and tested the waters for Memphis Depay and Ermedin Demirovic. The former will leave Atletico Madrid on a free. He might not be mutually exclusive with his compatriot, Gianluca Di Marzio informs.

The former Manchester United and Barcelona star has been linked with a Serie A move a few times, but it never happened. He’ll be on his way out despite an okay campaign where he posted 9 goals and 2 assists in 32 matches. He joined for €3M in January 2023 and often dealt with muscular problems.

Unlike Depay, Demirovic is an alternative to Zirkzee, and Milan would have to spend a lot less to onboard him. Augsburg has slapped a €25M price tag on him. However, it might be negotiated down to €18M plus add-ons.

The 26-year-old has posted 15 goals and 10 assists in 33 contests in 2023/2024, the best season of his career. He has starred also for Freiburg, St.Gallen, Almeria, Sochaux, and Alaves in previous years.

The Rossoneri continue to monitor also Artem Dovbyk. They scouted him directly during the most recent Ukraine match in Euro 2024.

Our Take on Milan, Depay, and Demirovic

If they switched to a 4-3-3 as rumored, they could use another winger to be completely whole up front. Both have handled such a role in the recent past. Instead, they need a foolproof star to lead their frontline, or the pitchforks will be coming for their management.
