Milan talent Marko Lazetic is destined to spend a year on loan away from San Siro in order to get more playing minutes under his belt. The 18-year-old Serbian prodigy has impressed so far in training and pre-season friendlies, most recently bagging a brace against Pergolettese.
The starlet has been earmarked as the Rossoneri’s future in attack, but as Calciomercato points out, it’s important for him to feature regularly to accelerate his development. New signing Divock Origi is currently sidelined with a minor injury, and his return is what will push the youngster out of Milan’s ranks for a temporary spell in a minnow.
Lazetic is not short of suitors, especially on the Italian front. Empoli tried to lure him earlier but instead went for Inter’s Martin Satriano and Atalanta’s Sam Lammers and Nicolò Cambiaghi. Cagliari and Spezia are also contenders to sign him on loan, but the details of their offers are still unknown. As per Sportmediaset (via MilanNews), Torino are also in line to bag the striker’s signature. It has been reported that Dutch and French teams are interested in bringing him in too.
The Red Star Belgrade youth product has the attention of Stefano Pioli and could very well star in the Rossoneri colors this season, although not regularly. It is probably in his best interest to seek playing time elsewhere. Lazetic will likely transfer in the final days of the window once Origi will be fully healthy.
