Milan talisman Rafael Leao reportedly remains high on Paris Saint-Germain’s list of priorities for the 2025 summer transfer window. According to TEAMtalk’s report, the Portuguese forward is among four potential candidates to take Kylian Mbappe’s place at the Parc des Princes.
Liverpool’s long-serving stalwart Mohamed Salah reportedly headlines the list. After being approached by several Saudi Pro League clubs last summer, the Egyptian superstar could end his seven-year association with the Anfield outfit next year. PSG are open to the possibility of landing Salah, though he’ll be 33 in June 2025.
Leao would be a long-term option for the perennial Ligue 1 champions. However, convincing Milan to sanction the sale of their most prized asset will be easier said than done. The Italian powerhouse tied the 25-year-old down to a new contract in 2023, securing his services until the summer of 2028.
Therefore, only a stratospheric offer would persuade Milan to give up the ex-Lille winger. Leao hasn’t been at his best during Paulo Fonseca’s early reign at Stadio San Siro. He has scored once and produced four assists in eight appearances across all competitions this season.
Milan may not have to worry about PSG’s interest unless Leao returns to prominence in the coming months. Aware that they would probably have to break the bank to sign the quicksilver Rossoneri forward, PSG have several contingency plans waiting in the wings.
In addition to the Milan ace, they’ve set their sights on Borussia Dortmund’s Karim Adeyemi, Bayern Munich’s Leroy Sane, and Real Sociedad’s Takefusa Kubo.
