Brest midfielder Romain Faivre has constantly been linked with a January winter transfer window move to San Siro, and recent developments only make these links more concrete. In a recent comment, the highly rated Frenchman has dropped a huge hint that refuses to rule him out of a move in the coming months.
The French club have so far rejected any offers to sell their midfield talisman, even after he refused to take part in a Ligue 1 match in August.
Speaking to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Milan target explained how ecstatic he was when he received a call from technical director Paolo Maldini.
Referring to the first Derby della Madonnina of the season, Faivre commented: “What a show. I wanted to be there on the pitch,” before adding, “When Maldini, a legend, calls you, you feel valued, and you want to do everything to go to Milan.”
He also shed light on who he inspired him as a role model in his growing stages.
“Ronaldinho. With him I loved football. As a Parisian fan I was inspired by his dribbling, his vision of the game, his effectiveness in scoring goals and making them score. In my room I had all his posters from PSG, to Barcelona to Milan.”
Faivre also mentioned that he keeps in touch with Fodo Ballo-Toure and their French connection has motivated the midfielder to see himself in the Rossoneri jersey.
He said: “I have known Ballo-Touré since the days of Monaco. He tells me that Milan is a great club, with great ambitions, with fantastic fans. I too am ambitious. In short, there is everything for it to work.”

A deal may materialize in January, as Milan look to reinforce their midfield prowess and announce their return back to the pedestal of Serie A, where they currently sit unbeaten at the top alongside Napoli.
