Milan Tie Bennacer Down to Extension Deal Until 2027

Milan have successfully jotted down Ismael Bennacer to a contract extension, renewing his existing contract until the summer of 2027. The Algerian is held in high regard by both Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara.

An official statement revealed that negotiations between Bennacer and the Rossoneri management finally paid off. His contract will now see him stay at the club for a further three years than his initial contract that was supposed to end in 2024.

Bennacer has been a significant part of Stefano Pioli’s midfield since the ex-Fiorentina coach took over in 2019, going to play a starring role in the club’s Scudetto success last season.

“He deserves it. He’s very ambitious and humble because he knows he can improve,” said Pioli (via MilanNews)

He arrived from Empoli for €16M, but has since experienced his transfer market value triple. The 25-year-old has 129 appearances, along with four goals to his name.
