Milan Tipped to Go After Sassuolo and Real Madrid Attackers

Milan have had major trouble scoring in the last couple of months and will address the problem in the transfer market, as they are keeping tabs on multiple attackers. Their management is mulling over whether to splurge on a pure striker or on the supporting roles.

According to Alfredo Pedullà, the Rossoneri will have about €50M to bolster their frontline in the summer. They are in advanced talks with Divock Origi. However, they have not finalized the agreement yet. In any case, they would not stop there in terms of additions.

Milan coach Stefano Pioli has Domenico Berardi atop his shortlist of attackers. The front office inquired about him last summer, but Sassuolo asked for €30M. The Rossoneri will make another attempt but at lower figures. They generally prefer to invest on younger players. The outcome of their chase will hinge primarily on the Neroverdi’s demands.

The front office is tracking Marco Asensio, who could ask out in the summer. They have a strong relationship with Real Madrid, considering the previous deals involving Theo Hernandez and Brahim Diaz. While it may not be too challenging to sanction a deal with the Merengues at around €25-30M, his salary is an obstacle, Calciomercato informs.

The 26-year-old currently makes €5.5M and would look to get a pay bump if he transferred. Milan are always reluctant to hand out large wages and might ultimately be forced to turn their attention to other attackers. Arsenal are also chasing after the Spanish forward, the site adds.
