Milan are in contention of luring in one of Major League Soccer’s most in-demand talents, Ricardo Pepi.
The 18-year-old FC Dallas forward has been a key player for the Texas-based club this season in the MLS, his breakout season, where he has scored 12 goals and registered three assists in 24 appearances.
He is the current subject of interest to clubs in Italy, Germany and England, according to an exclusive report by 90min. The report mentions of three clubs from Italy, two from Germany and two English clubs are on the lookout for a potential deal for the USMNT debutant.
While all the details of the interested clubs aren’t known, it is known that Bayern Munich and Milan are two keen contenders for his signature. Bologna are also said to be keeping close tabs.
In an interview to the official MLS website, Pepi recently noted: “I feel like I am really prepared for the moment and I’m ready for whatever comes and I am going to take it all,”
The youngster sees two Bundesliga stars as his inspiration – veteran striker Robert Lewandowski and young gun Erling Haaland. He is of Mexican ancestry and might be the MLS’ latest export to Europe.
