Milan to Target Atletico Striker Morata Come Summer

Alvaro Morata is the latest player to appear in the spotlight for a summer transfer back to Serie A, as Juventus also begin their probe to lure him back to his former playing ground.

The Rossoneri are in dire need of reinforcements upfront, especially in the center-forward and right winger roles, as Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara prepare to launch an offensive. However, their moves will largely depend on the team’s ability to play in Europe next season, with the UCL semi-final showdown against Inter and a top-four Serie A finish yet to be fulfilled.

Porto’s Evanilson, RB Salzburg’s Naoh Okafor, Montpellier’s Elye Wahi, Udinese’s Beto and Reims’ Folarin Balogun have all been linked some time or the other over the past weeks and months. As per La Gazzetta dello Sport, Milan have added Morata to the list.

The Atletico Madrid center-forward has reliable Serie A experience, making him a strong candidate target for the Rossoneri management. With Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Ante Rebic and Divock Origi’s futures up in the air, the Rossoneri are planning for the future, and the Spaniard appears to be a surefire target this summer.

A solid €25-30M is reportedly required to lure the Spaniard away from Wanda Metropolitano. He has scored just 11 goals for Diego Simeone’s side in 31 La Liga appearances this season.
