Inter Keep Close Eye as Milan Tussle for Brest Star

A classic transfer market Derby di Milano is being played out between historic rivals Inter and Milan for 23-year-old Ligue 1 sensation Romain Faivre. The Brest midfielder, who has a contract at the club until June 2025, is heavily linked with a move to the Italian city with the transfer window closing soon.

Yesterday it was reported in the French media outlet L’Equipe (via GetFrenchFootballNews) that Faivre refused to travel with the Brest squad ahead of their match with Strasbourg, which the club lost 3-1.

Between Inter and Milan, the Rossoneri seem to have taken a step further and began negotiations with the versatile midfielder’s entourage. However, their first bid €10m has been rejected by Brest.

Inter are also said to be monitoring the situation closely.

He is valuated at €13m, according to transfermarkt, but the north-western French club will reportedly hear offers no less than €15m.

The French-Algerian, who has been an integral part of Brest’s setup for the past one year, is poised to move within the next hours.
