The talks with Real Madrid to keep Diaz are instead more advanced, also because of the strong relationship between the two teams. He will not return with the same method, but a two-year loan with an option to buy could be a fitting solution. Milan aim to insert a €20M clause at the end of the temporary stint, while the Merengues could ask for a little more or for an obligation to acquire him.
The Rossoneri remain keen on Olivier Giroud, but only if he manages to leave Chelsea for free. They received reassurances from his agents that it could still happen for non-Premier League clubs.
