Milan Youth Product Bellanova Excited for Inter Journey

AC Milan academy product Raoul Bellanova, who spent 13 years of his youth under the tutelage of the Rossoneri, will look to make a name for himself in the Inter colors despite his previous allegiance. The new signing arrived on loan from Cagliari for the 2022/23 season, after having impressed last campaign.

Speaking to DAZN (via FCInterNews), the versatile offensive-minded defender couldn’t hold back his excitement from starring at the San Siro for the home club for the first time in his career.

Bellanova revealed that he supported Inter even though he played for Milan early in his youth.

“The best memory for sure was the treble in 2009/2020. It was incredible. I have been a Nerazzurri fan since I was a child despite the fact that I wore the Milan shirt for several years.”

The 22-year-old then went on to disclose the players he looked up to while growing, before revealing what he thinks are his best features as a fullback.

“Maicon and Zanetti are the main ones also because they played my role. My best traits are speed and explosiveness. Sprinting with the ball glued to my feet is my calling card.”

It goes without saying that the Italy U21 youngster is excited for his Milan return, as he hopes to repay the trust put in him by the Nerazzurri management.

“It is a great emotion every day to be in contact with certain champions when watched them on television before arriving in Serie A. It carries on day by day and I really hope to give my best and repay this trust that was given to me by the club.”

The 2022/23 season will be Bellanova’s second straight Serie A season, having starred for Pescara in the second tier before.
