Milan’s Donnarumma and Hauge Test Positive for Coronavirus

Bad news for Milan as Gianluigi Donnarumma and Jens Petter Hauge tested positive for coronavirus after last night’s swab round along with three more Milan staff members. Both players will miss tonight’s Serie A game against Roma and while the Norwegian was not expected to be a starter, Donnarumma’s positivity will give a chance between the sticks to Ciprian Tatarusanu.

Both players are asymptomatic and were immediately sent in home isolation. The local health authorities were informed and the whole Milan group was tested again today, as per protocol, and no new positivity was found.

Milan had already carried out a round of tests before the match against Roma but on Sunday night the positivity of a member from coach Stefano Pioli’s staff forced the Rossoneri to execute a new round of tampons this morning, which highlighted Donnarumma and Hauge’s positivity for coronavirus.
