Milinkovic-Savic’s Agent Rubbishes Transfer Reports Talks: “It’s Great Fake News”

Sergej Milinkovic-Savic is one of the most sought-after players in the summer transfer market as the Biancocelesti ace nears the end of his seventh season in Serie A. It was earlier reported that Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain submitted €65m bids for the highly-rated central midfielder.

Having been continually linked with a departure from Lazio, especially to the Red Devils and the Parisians, Milinkovic-Savic has been popping up in British, French and Italian reports every now and then.

Mateja Kezman – the Serbian’s agent – was quoted by Foot01 to have said that talks have been held, but now has come forward to dismiss reports of formal discussions being held between the intermediary and interested clubs.

“Sergej has no shortage of offers for the summer market. We are currently talking to Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain. He is focused on the season finale with Lazio, but Sergej wants to go to Manchester United,” reported the French outlet earlier quoting the agent.

In an exclusive interview with TuttoJuve, Kezman rubbished saying any such thing.

“It’s a great fake news. I have never given interviews in the last period, some journalists are really incredible! I’m very angry, it is a lack of respect towards me, towards Sergej and Lazio,” he revealed.

The Serbian international has 57 goals in 291 appearances for the Biancocelesti since joining from Belgian outfit Genk in 2015/16.

With his goal against Spezia, he reached 10 goals for the season, thus becoming only the third player this season in Europe’s top-five leagues to reach double figures for both goals and assists. He has 12 assists this campaign, and joins RB Leipzig’s Christopher Nkunku and Olympique de Marseille’s Dmitri Payet.
