Ex-Inter forward Diego Milito has revealed how now Roma boss Jose Mourinho wanted to take him to Real Madrid right after the historic treble-winning season in 2009/10. Milito proved to be instrumental in the Nerazzurri success story that season, most memorably banging an all-important brace against Bayern Munich in the final of the UEFA Champions League.
In an exclusive interview with Spanish outlet Jotdownsport.es, Il Principe spoke with affection for the Special One.

Milito also shed light on Mourinho’s man-management skills, his ‘power of seduction’ so to speak.
“Enormous. He convinces you of what he wants. He has that virtue. He goes deep inside of you, he handles difficult moments very well, he is a winner – one who knows when to quarrel and when to caress. You know? Another thing is what you think from the outside. From the inside, he is close, pleasant, attentive, unique.”
The former Argentina marksman spent eight seasons in Serie A over the course of stints at Genoa and Inter. He made 159 top-flight appearances in the Italian league, scoring 86 goals and registering 25 assists.
