In an interview with L’Arena, Verona goalkeeper Lorenzo Montipò stated that his side hopes to stay in the Serie A. It has already been a difficult start to the campaign for I Gialloblù. Just one win and six goals from seven league games thus far. They currently find themselves a point above the bottom three.
According to Montipò, the team needs to find their balance and collect points. At the same time, despite the poor start, the keeper believes his side will do enough. “We have been preparing well, during the break the coach reiterated that our attitude is the right one” said the 26-year-old.
Verona will not have it easy this weekend, as they will host high flying Udinese. Home matches against Milan, Roma and Juventus will all come for the Gialloblù before the World Cup break. By then, Gabriele Cioffi’s side will hope to be sitting in a more favourable position towards maintaining their top flight status for next season.
