Monza Forward Catch Attention from Three Elite Serie A Clubs

Monza starlet Andrea Colpani is developing into one of the most sought-after youngsters in Serie A, with several top teams taking an interest in his services. According to Calciomercato, Inter, Juventus, and Roma have laid praying eyes on the highly-rated Biancorossi forward.

Colpani had a relatively quiet debut season in Serie A last term, racking up four goals and one assist in 27 league appearances. However, he pledged his long-term future to Monza earlier this month, putting pen to paper on a new five-year contract. The extension came as a reward for his contribution to the club’s stellar maiden top-flight campaign.

Raffaele Palladino sees the 24-year-old forward as one of his most productive assets. Colpani repaid the gaffer’s trust with a match-winning performance against Empoli on Saturday night. He ran the show as Monza bounced back from a 2-0 opening-day loss at Inter with an identical win over Gli Azzurri at the Brianteo.

Indeed, Colpani scored on either side of halftime to inspire Monza to a morale-boosting victory, confirming his importance to Palladino’s set-up. But as much as the Italian would like to keep hold of his improving forward, the Serie A elite could render his bid impossible.

Unless something unexpected takes place in the final days of the transfer window, Colpani should spend the first half of the season at Monza. But if he continues like this, he could be on his way out as early as January.
