Morata Not Keen on Moving to Arsenal and Newcastle

Juventus and Atletico Madrid continue to work to find a solution for Alvaro Morata. The idea of a swap with Moise Kean has quickly evaporated because the Colchoneros do not want players in return. The Spanish striker has drawn offers from Arsenal and Newcastle. However, he does not want to move to England, also for family-related reasons, Goal informs.

Moreover, the forward wishes to keep playing in the Champions League. The Rojiblancos are unwilling to lower their €35M price tag. The Bianconeri do not want to reach that sum, although they could get to around €25M bonuses through a peculiar formula and add-ons.

Juventus and Atletico Madrid might be able to cook up an alternative solution. Morata could extend his contract, which is currently set to expire in 2023, and head back to Turin on another season-long loan. The Old Lady would pay €10M, the same fee they spent for each of the last two campaign. The Spanish side would regain control of the player in a year. Their management is determined to prolong the striker’s deal to avoid losing him for nothing in the future.
