More Outfits Come Asking for Milan Fringe Defender

More teams have come forward to try to acquire Fode Ballo-Touré, but Milan haven’t decided whether they want to let go of him just yet. Galatasaray inquired about him last week. Nice and Nottingham Forest did the same in the last few days, Foot Mercato reports.

As per Alfredo Pedullà, the Rossoneri are pondering the offers and the future of the young fullback in general. If they sold him, Giuseppe Pezzella could be an option to replace him as Theo Hernandez’s deputy. He’s back at Parma after spending last season at Atalanta. He is also in Lecce’s crosshairs.

Milan want to secure another defender before eventually signing off on the departure of Ballo-Touré. On that front, after moving on from Abou Diallo, their execs have gotten in touch with the entourage of Japhet Tanganga, Gianluca Di Marzio reports.

The brass is trying to strike a deal on personal terms before opening talks with Tottenham. The Italian champions want him on loan with option to buy. Though, the counterparty prefer more permanent formulas. Nottingham Forest have reportedly offered €16M to purchase him outright.

Our Take on Ballo-Touré and Milan

The fullback has played too little to be properly judged from the outside. The lineup choices by Stefano Pioli late last season weren’t exactly a ringing endorsement. The Tottenham product would be nice addition thanks to his versatility. Still, the Rossoneri would want the opportunity to sign him permanently without breaking the bank if he does show well. There lies the challenge of the negotiation. Instead, it would be a little surprising if they added a pure left-back as well.
