The Giallorossi will be missing Paulo Dybala and Nicolo Zaniolo, in light of which the tactician expects his team to muster more confidence and do better than before.
“I expect more from the team and even before Dybala’s injury they never played the most creative ones all together. Now, without Dybala, it will be even more difficult. But I trust the work and discipline of our game, I’m confident that tomorrow we will be able to make a result.”
Commenting on what kind of game he expects to play out, Mourinho pinpointed the confidence level of the Giallorossi in the face of an equally strong Betis outfit.
“We are two different teams but two teams of similar level. The result of the Olimpico is not true, it is difficult to say what match it will be but we are certainly prepared for our goals. Beyond the difficulties of the injuries, we are aware of what we want to do and how we want to do it. We had little time to prepare for the match, but we are prepared and confident.”
Roma will look to become the first Italian team to beat the Spaniards on their own turf despite the hosts being unbeaten across 10 home matches in the UEL group stages.
