Mourinho Reveals All-Time Best XI of His Managerial Career

Roma boss Jose Mourinho has worked with some of the greatest players to ever have played the beautiful game across trophy-laden spells at Porto, Inter, Chelsea, and Real Madrid. Interestingly, no Manchester United player makes the Special One’s cut.

The 59-year-old tactician has gone through different eras of modern football, from his time as assistant manager at Barcelona back in the late 1990’s to winning the UEFA Champions League with Porto in 2003/04 to lifting an unprecedented treble with Inter half-a-decade later.

The legendary manager picked iconic Chelsea shotstopper Petr Cech in goal, behind Inter veteran Javier Zanetti, and Blues trio John Terry, Ricardo Carvalho and Ashley Cole. His preferred central midfield duo are Chelsea legends Claude Makelele and Frank Lampard. Mesut Ozil, Eden Hazard and Cristiano Ronaldo assist Ivory Coast superstar Didier Drogba.

The ex-Spurs coach is spoilt for choices, having managed big guns such as Iker Casillas, Wesley Sneijder, Arjen Robben, Kaka, Karim Benzema, Xabi Alonso, among a host of other world-class talents.
