Mourinho Talks Totti and His Inter and Roma Spells

José Mourinho discussed the upcoming clash between Inter and Roma, re-examined portions of his career, and weighed in on the possible return of Francesco Totti to the Giallorossi in an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“It’s impossible for me to choose between my victories. Each of them is special and every trophy is unique in its own way. Milan and Rome are the two main cities in Italy. The former is the economic engine, the latter the center of the political power and an open air museum of the history of the country. I’m lucky for having had the opportunity of living in both. Important chapters of my career have been written in great stadiums like Olimpico and San Siro.”

The gaffer downplayed the derby with Lazio.

“I’ve lived in other cities when there was a strong rivalry between two or more teams. I’m used to it, and I don’t pay much attention to it.”

Despite his abundant success, the Special One remains hungry for more.

“The drive will never go away, and I will pursue more victories with Roma giving everything I have.”

The boss is open to welcoming back Totti.

“There’s no problem for me. He will always be a symbol of this team regardless of what happens and what he will decide to do with his life.”

Mourinho will not be present in Inter-Roma because of a suspension. Romelu Lukaku will miss the clash as well, as he hasn’t recovered from his thigh injury. Paulo Dybala is set to be available, but he’s 50/50 to start due to a small ailment.
