Multiple Inter Legends Discuss Return Leg Against Porto

Esteban Cambiasso, Walter Samuel, and especially Javier Zanetti addressed the upcoming second match between Inter and Porto in the Champions League’s Round of 16 taking to the press after an event hosted by the vice-president’s charity Fondacion Pupi (via SportMediaset).

The official took the floor first.

“We got the answers were looking against Lecce. We all agreed that we hadn’t play well versus Bologna. The standings indicate that we are in second place on our own now. We are trying to improve an find the consistency we haven’t had so far.  We could have had more points.”

“It will be key to be concentrated and determined against Porto. The stadium will be passionate. I’m confident in the group and that we will be ready to this match. We’ll have to do well against Spezia first to get to it with the right mental and physical form.”

Cambiasso weighed in.

“It will be a nice and tough challenge. They fight hard and have quality and intensity. The lead is narrow, but it’s still something. We’re hopeful. Lautaro Martinez was already doing well beforehand, plus the World Cup was an extra satisfaction, even though he probably wished for a different experience.”

Samuel likes the Nerazzurri’s chances.

“Inter played well and deserved to win in the first leg against Porto, now they’ll have to resist away. They have everything in place to advance. They’ll have to duel for the second place since there are other equally equipped teams vying for it, but it will be tough to pry the Scudetto away from Napoli’s hands at this point.”
