Ex-Roma and Inter midfield bullhead Radja Nainggolan believes Napoli have what it takes to excel this season as Scudetto champions, thanks to the work of Luciano Spalletti. The Partenopei remain unbeaten so far in the league after 15 matchdays.
Speaking to La Gazzetta dello Sport in an exclusive interview, Nainggolan heaped praise on Spalletti’s work ethic and commitment that has propelled Napoli to the pedestal of Serie A.
“Napoli has always found a dominant Juventus ahead of them. Now that the championship is more balanced, they are managing to excel. I believe that if Napoli will find the thread of the game and of the balance shown until November, the Scudetto will be won, and deservedly so as seen.” (via TuttoNapoli)
He shrugged off any element of surprise, having played under him in two different spells at Roma and Inter.
“Am I surprised by Napoli? No. Because I know that Spalletti is one of the best technicians around. And I had a great time with him. In fact, the way he sees football, he was the perfect coach for me.”
Napoli visit the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza next to take on Inter tomorrow – against whom they have lost each of their last four away league encounters.
