Nandez Made Up His Mind but Inter and Cagliari Are Still Negotiating

Inter and Cagliari met again yesterday to discuss the Nahitan Nandez deal. While they have made some progress in the talks, they have not reached an agreement. The negotiation will likely continue for few more days. On the other hand, the Uruguayan international is hellbent on joining the Nerazzurri, La Gazzetta dello Sport and Alfredo Pedullà report.

The midfield saw his vacation extended by his club before the start of the pre-season preparation. However, his transfer is not imminent. Cagliari are open to the proposed formula, an initial loan with option or obligation to buy. However, they asked for a €5M fee right away, which is too high for Inter, and insist on the €30M price tag. The Nerazzurri will work patiently to reduce the costs, the newspaper indicates.

The two teams also discussed the return of Radja Nainggolan to Sardinia. The Beneamata would prefer for it to happen on loan rather than rescind his contract for financial reasons. They are willing to contribute to paying 20/25 percent of his salary. However, Cagliari need to reduce their wages-bill first. Diego Godin and especially Giovanni Simeone could leave in the next few days. The two potential deals will probably proceed at different times.

Sky confirms that the parties are still distant on the total sums of the operation. However, there is a mutual desire to come to terms. Cagliari are interested in Martin Satriano, as the 20-year-old striker is having a strong pre-season. They had previously shown appreciation for Andrea Pinamonti and Lucien Agoume.
