Napoli and Juventus Track Portugal Sensation at FIFA World Cup

Benfica teenage talent Antonio Silva is on the radar of several top European clubs, including Juventus. The Portuguese sensation has impressed leaps and bounds with his boyhood club, breaking through to the first team under ex-Bayer Leverkusen manager Roger Schmidt and making his senior debut this year in August in the Primeira Liga.

At only 19, Silva is touted to become a leading figure at one of the European giants. Real Madrid and Barcelona are said to be keeping close tabs on his development, but there is also burgeoning interest from Italy.

Serie A leaders Napoli, alongside Juventus, are also interested in signing the highly-rated center-back, as per latest reports from Portuguese outlet A Bola.

However, he is not going to come cheap, with Benfica tying his down to a contract extension back in September and increasing his buyout clause to €100M. While that seems excessive to say the least, Benfica might be willing to part ways with him for around the €50-60M mark.

Antonio Silva is currently starring at the 2022 FIFA World Cup, making his debut on the grand stage in the sensational 2-1 defeat at the hands of South Korea in the group stages – only his second senior cap for Portugal.
