Napoli and Milan Aim Zaniolo Transfer From Roma

Nicolo Zaniolo has been the spotlight for an exit from Roma for a considerable amount of time now. Talk surrounding his potential departure is unlikely to die down anytime soon, with new speculation linking him once again to fellow Italian heavyweights.

According to latest reports by La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews), league leaders Napoli are prepared to shell out a €30M bid for the highly-rated 23-year-old attacker.

Roma have so far been unable to proceed with contract extension negotiations, with his contract having just 18 months left to the date of expiration. His Giallorossi deal ends in the summer of 2024, and an exit is the most profitable decision Roma can boil down to, at least for the moment.

Zaniolo’s agent, Claudio Vigorello, is reportedly in close contact with Napoli chief Aurelio De Laurentiis and sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli.

However, even Milan are said to be interested in luring the Azzurri playmaker. Rossoneri tactician Stefano Pioli is understood to be an admirer of the player’s qualities.
