Napoli Contact Eintracht Star as Manchester Clubs Loom

Napoli are confident they’ll be able to keep Kim Min-Jae despite the interest from very wealthy sides, but they are monitoring some fallback plans, and they recently reached out to Even N’Dicka, who will depart Eintracht Frankfurt on a free, Calciomercato relays.

The two Manchester-based teams have taken an interest in the South Korean center-back. There’s a flexible release clause in his contract. It comes into effect only in the first two weeks of July. Its amount depends on the revenue of the potential buyer. It would be around €50/60M in this case.

Napoli have been trying to negotiate a new deal with Kim to remove it, to no avail so far, and they protected themselves by getting in touch with the entourage of N’Dicka. The center-back demands €5M per season. The Partenopei filed away his request. They could explore such pursuit down the line.

The Frenchman has recently been linked to Roma, which are getting busy on the free-agent market. Juventus reportedly targeted him in the past. Barcelona and Sevilla also tried to land him on a free in recent months as well.

Our Take on Napoli, Kim, and N’Dicka

Nothing wrong with doing some due diligence. The future Serie A champions should use the next month to settle some internal situations and remove a few doubts ahead of the summer. While their chase of the Eintracht center-back shouldn’t necessarily be tied to the departure of their ace, as they could always upgrade on Amir Rrahmani, he’s unlikely to join them if those are really his requests since they like to keep their payroll in check. They are a tad high for Roma too.
