Napoli Exec Giuntoli Discusses Recent Transfer Market Rumors

Napoli director Giuntoli conveyed his confidence in his team after the loss to Fiorentina and weighed in on the recent transfer market rumblings: “We have important values and a high-quality coach and players. We are fully in the Scudetto race, and we believe. Our goal is to win every game, starting with the Roma one on Monday. We are sorry for the last result, especially for the fans. We are eager to react, and their support always helps us.”

The exec commented on Khvicha Kvaratskhelia to Radio Kiss Kiss: “We have been following him for a while, and we will do our best to bring him here. There is plenty of time to complete deals. He is one of our top targets. Such acquisition would have the right technical, economic, and physical parameters.”

“Our intention is to buy out Franck-André Zambo Anguissa. We will thoroughly evaluate everything at the end of the season. Mathias Olivera is a nice player, and he is different from Mario Rui. He is naturally left-footed and is very gritty. We are keen on him.”

Napoli will reportedly be one of the contenders to sign Hamed Traorè in the next transfer market window, but Giuntoli pumped the breaks: “He is excellent, but all the top teams have him on their radar. We have to pay attention to the balance sheets too. All I can say is that we will continue to have a strong team for years to come.”

“Gianluca Gaetano is having an extraordinary season at Cremonese and could be part of our roster in the future. Stanislav Lobotka had some physical problems and was a little overweight when he joined. We never questioned his worth or considered selling him, and he is repaying us now.”
