They didn’t have Alessandro Buongiorno in the opener, so the dismal display had a big excuse, but Juan Jesus and Mathias Olivera were surely poor, and Antonio Conte doesn’t seem to think Rafa Marin is fully ready yet. The arrival of a starting-caliber wingback would allow them to use Giovanni Di Lorenzo there, which isn’t an optimal solution but might be the best one available for now.
