Napoli have started searching for a new midfielder and are pondering going after Yunus Musah. After addressing their defense, the next phase of their window will depend on how quickly and well they’ll manage to sell their players, starting with Victor Osimhen, La Repubblica informs.
The 21-year-old had a slow introduction at Milan last year following a €20M move, but his playing time eventually grew steadily. He ended up recording 30 appearances, handling multiple roles and tallying 2 assists. He’s under contract until 2028. He already appeared 39 times with the USMNT.
Napoli were linked to Billy Gilmour before setting sights on Musah. However, Brighton’s president stated that he didn’t hear from the Azzurri after rejecting their opening offer.
According to the publication, Antonio Conte has asked for one more winger. David Neres and Domenico Berardi are the hottest options, while there’s not much substance about Federico Chiesa for now.

It appears that they’ll do something to shore up their midfield too, but the Rossoneri are unlikely to give him up after spending a pretty penny for him last year; plus, he’s very young and has a lot of room for improvement. They’ll probably offload a man if they land the Youssouf Fofana and Lazar Samardzic combo, but Tommaso Pobega and Ismael Bennacer are way more likely to leave than the American youngster. While he’d be a useful tool in Conte’s hands, his valuation probably exceeds what the Partenopei would be comfortable paying for somebody who’d begin as a deputy.
