Nigeria coach José Pereiro was full of praise for the masked marksman for his contributions this campaign. Interviewed by Tuttomercatoweb in an exclusive, Pereiro heaped praise on the 24-year-old striker and backed him to start for any team in the world.
“Goal is in Victor’s blood even though he’s still very young. He knows how to score in every way, and he knows how to do everything else too. He presses continuously, he’s physical, he plays for the team first and then for himself. Osimhen and Napoli have done something incredible this year.”
Osimhen has constantly been linked to the exit door, with several top clubs, including Manchester United, Chelsea, and Bayern Munich in the picture.
“Everyone wants to buy a player like him, it won’t be easy for Napoli to keep him in the summer. If the Azzurri rightly ask for millions for his price tag, I am convinced that there will be several clubs willing to meet De Laurentiis’ high demands. He would be a starter in any team in the world.”
Osimhen is on course to winning the Capocannoniere title as well, with 22 goals so far this Serie A season, and 27 across all competitions.

The former Wolfsburg and Lille forward has 27 goals and 5 assists in 34 appearances this season for Napoli.
