Napoli Inquire About Potentially Outbound Inter Striker

Napoli are dealing with plenty of uncertainty in their frontline and have turned their attention to Joaquin Correa. The Argentinian attacker could be sacrificed by Inter after just one season to make room for his compatriot Paulo Dybala.

As per SportMediaset, after losing Lorenzo Insigne and likely Dries Mertens, whose contract has formally run out, the Azzurri are looking for attackers that could complement Victor Osimhen and Hirving Lozano. However, Inter might prefer to part ways with Edin Dzeko, who has significantly higher wagers.

La Beneamata have set a €30M price tag for Correa, more than what they spent to sign him from Lazio, while Napoli could offer €20/25M. In addition, the Partenopei would rather do the deal on an initial loan with option or obligation to buy.

The slippery forward bagged 6 goals and provided 2 assists in 36 appearances in his first season in Milan. He routinely dealt with muscular problems. He did not fully live up to his previous campaign, his best one to date. The 27-year-old had hit the net 11 times and teed up 6 teammates across all competitions in 2019/2020.

Our Take on Napoli Eyeing Correa

The peculiar situation at Inter might lead to some bargains for other teams. Ironically enough, their attack would be very well-assorted if they decided not to sign Paulo Dybala. It would spare them some headaches too. The Argentine is a tad inconsistent and not very clutch in the box. However, the pairing with Osimhen would be mouth-watering and a handful for opposing defenders.
