The winger fully bounced back after failing to establish himself at Manchester United. He has tallied 22 goals and 21 assists in 151 appearances with Los Txuri-urdin.
The outcome of the pursuit will primarily hinge on how big of a salary Januzaj will ask Napoli. President Aurelio De Laurentiis is reluctant to hand out large contracts. The attacker also played at Borussia Dortmund and Sunderland before finding a permanent home in La Liga. He has hit the net eight times and set up six teammates in his most productive campaign to date.
On top of Januzaj, Napoli are eyeing Giacomo Raspadori too, but he is more difficult to sign. He has a hefty price tag, around €35M, and Sassuolo might decide keep him around.
