The Udinese midfielder is hitting his stride in his second campaign in Serie A. He’s getting consistent playing time, and he has recorded two goals and one assist. He has already matched his entire production from 2020/2021. The Partenopei have had some talks with the Bianconeri, but his valuation is already robust, around €20M. He was brought to Italy for €3M from RB Leipzig.
Baldanzi figures to be less expensive than Samardzic, which could favor Napoli, as they rarely hand out large fees. Empoli coach Paolo Zanetti noticed him during the summer and promoted him to the first team. He has bagged two goals in five appearances. The 19-year-old made his Serie A debut late last season. He has been highly productive at the Primavera level, registering 24 goals and 14 assists in 55 games. He has 12 caps and scored twice with Italy U-19.
