Napoli Look to Snap Frattesi Despite Two-Way Roma Interest

Davide Frattesi does not have only Roma as a potential suitor when the transfer window reopens in January, and then once again in the summer of 2023. The Sassuolo midfeld ace has yet another Serie A hotshot ready to pounce on him.

As per the editorial staff at Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli (via TuttoNapoli), information relays of league leaders Napoli interested in luring the Rome-born midfielder. With Diego Demme all but set to leave the Partenopei, a space will potentially open up in Luciano Spalletti’s 27-man squad.

Frattesi is eyed for a move in the upcoming winter transfer window rather than next summer. Unbeaten in Serie A still, the southerners seem eager to add more youth to their ranks, with an average squad age of just 25.7.

Napoli are keen to land Roma a blow after they were left empty-handed with the transfer deal involving Ola Solbakken, who recently arrived in Flumicino to sign a long-term deal at the Stadio Olimpico. However, it seems unlikely since Frattesi himself is interested in moving to Roma.
