Napoli have set sights on Marco Brescianini as they could shore up their midfield with another piece. Atalanta have made waves to capture him from Frosinone, which are driving a hard bargain since he’s in demand.
According to Corriere dello Sport, director Giovanni Manna has been following the player since his Juventus days. The Bianconeri made a timid attempt for him in January.
Napoli will have to tussle with Atalanta and Fiorentina for Brescianini. However, they’ll eventually table their proposal only after partying ways with one of their players in the role. While Michael Folorunsho is likely to stay and extend his deal, Gianluca Gaetano might be on his way out after the pre-season retreat.
Frosinone value him €12M and aim to fetch as much money as possible since they owe 50 percent of the fee to Milan. The suitors have tendered €8/9M so far. He has tallied 4 goals and 2 assists in 37 matches last season, handling multiple positions in the midfield.
The Azzurri also have another way to bolster the position. While the Victor Osimhen deal is likely to happen cash only, they like Manuel Ugarte the most among the PSG players. Manchester United are on his trail too, though.

He’d be a great rotational piece for teams using a 3-4-2-1. He’s not that young, but he still has room to grow and is affordable. Given the quality of their starters and the fact that they won’t play in the cups, other teams need him more, and they could postpone an addition to next year.
