Napoli Need to Hurry to Sell Lozano to Los Angeles FC

Hirving Lozano is likely to leave Napoli this summer, but a potential move to the MLS would have to materialize much sooner than deadline day in Europe, as their transfer market window ends Wednesday.

Per Fox Deportes, the agents of the winger are in Italy to negotiate a transfer to Los Angeles FC. He has struck a deal with the American side on personal terms on a three-year contract with €5.5M wages. On the other hand, they haven’t offered as much as Aurelio De Laurentiis demands, €20M. Their bid stopped €5M short.

Lozano has yet to play in a friendly this summer because of his contractual standoff and a previous knee injury. If he doesn’t move across the pond this week, he could find some suitors in Saudi Arabia, Sky informs.

Moreover, the MLS franchise could make another attempt in January, Corriere del Mezzogiorno relays. Napoli would have to be comfortable with keeping him on an expiring contract. The attacker risks being frozen out if the impasse doesn’t end.

According to the Belgian publication Dernière Heuregià, Napoli have already met the entourage of Johan Bakayoko, who’s the early frontrunner to replace the Mexican.

Our Take on Lozano to Los Angeles FC

Even though the Partenopei have all the interest in getting the deal done and probably can’t do much better fee-wise, things generally don’t move that fast when they are involved.
