With Pasquale Mazzocchi ruled out for the near future following a surgery on his right knee, Salernitana are eager to bolster their squad with a replacement immediately. Moreover, Mazzocchi is eyed by several Serie A giants including Roma, Napoli and Inter. Keeping that in mind, the Granata are already on the hunt for reinforcements.
31-year-old Napoli midfielder Diego Demme is the favorite to arrive in Salerno in the winter transfer window, according to TuttoSalernitana. Following the explosion of Stanislav Lobotka under Luciano Spalletti this season, Demme has been pushed to the sidelines. Napoli are already interested in Mazzocchi, which might prove to be instrumental in Demme going the other way.

The Partenopei are very well on their way to a first Scudetto title this season, still unbeaten after 15 gameweeks. While that might push Demme to exit only next summer, a move cannot entirely be ruled out.
However, he is not the only one shortlisted, as Parma left-back Jayden Oosterwolde is also eyed by the Granata management. The 21-year-old Dutchman was loaned to Parma from Twente last season, and was later turned into a permanent transfer.
Few other names linked with a move to Salernitana are Atalanta’s Matteo Ruggeri, Udinese’s Bram Nuytinck, Hellas Verona’s Federico Ceccherini, Fiorentina’s Szymon Zurkowski and Benevento’s Mattia Viviani.
