Napoli are on the ascendancy following the acquisition of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia last summer, but it looks like the club are undone in the transfer market, having shortlisted two more youngsters to arrive onboard the high-flying Partenopei ship.
According to reports from Il Giornale transfer market expert Nicolo Schira (via TuttoNapoli), the Italian league leaders seek to take advantage of the World Cup break to bolster their youth ranks. They are reportedly targeting two talents – one from Ligue 1 and Serie A each.
First is the prospect of signing son of French legend Lilian Thuram, Khephren Thuram, who plays as a midfielder for Nice. The Italian-born 21-year-old Frenchman functions as a defensive midfielder under manager Lucien Favre. His contract with the Eagles expires in the summer of 2025.

The next is Lazar Samardzic of Udinese, with Partenopei scouts having kept a close eye on him during recent head-to-head encounters. The 20-year-old German born playmaker has appeared intermittently for Andrea Sottil, including for half-hour in the recent 3-2 defeat at the hands of Napoli. Samardzic scored a brilliant solo consolation goal in the loss, rendering Alex Meret helpless with a beautiful long range effort.

Scouts from the club will continue evaluating the duo perhaps until next summer in order to materialize a concrete deal.
