Napoli Seriously Rivaling Tottenham for Genoa Defender

Napoli are trying to close the gap with Tottenham in the fray to sign Radu Dragusin, as the Spurs haven’t entirely met Genoa’s request at this stage. They have proposed €22/23M verbally, while the Rossoblù want €30/35M, Sky informs.

The Partenopei took advantage of the situation and tendered a sizeable offer, proposing around €20M plus Leo Ostigard, who already played with the Grifone in the past. The Azzurri signed him for €5M from Brighton two summers ago after the conclusion of such a loan spell.

On the other hand, Napoli might have already produced their best effort for Dragusin, so Tottenham could emerge victorious if they increased the figure they put on the table.

His agent Florin Manea commented on TvPlay.

“He’ll certainly land in a top club eventually. He doesn’t care about money, but rather he wants to have a great career. I haven’t heard from the Azzurri. He’s not totally sure about leaving Genoa midseason. In my mind, he’s perfect to play in the Premier League. He doesn’t feel the pressure. We haven’t received an offer from the Spurs: I’m ready to listen if they come to terms with Genoa. In our only meeting with them, they asked me about his character.”

Our Take on Dragusin, Napoli, and Tottenham

The Partenopei aren’t messing around, and it’d be a quality addition. A bidding war is great news for the Rossoblù. Chances are that Lilywhite will come out on top with a raise.
