Napoli Sporting Director Evaluates Georgian Prodigy Kvernadze

Napoli, led by sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli, are back sniffing in Georgia for a talented forward born in 2003. Following the acquisition of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia last summer, the Partenopei have gained enormous ground in establishing themselves as Italy’s best team this season – still unbeaten after 15 matchdays.

According to reports emerging from Georgia (via TuttoNapoli), Saburtalo Tbilisi attacker Giorgi Kvernadze is on the radar of Napoli for a move in the near future, perhaps in the winter transfer window. His profile is reportedly liked by Giuntoli following positive assessments by Partenopei scouts in terms of the player’s abilities and scope for growth.

The Georgia U21 international is right-footed player, known to function as a versatile inverted winger from the left flank and also capable of playing as a pure striker or in a supporting trequartista role.

Napoli will evaluate the possibility of signing Kvernadze in the coming weeks, as they liken him to the role Kvaratskhelia currently functions in. He is currently on loan from FC Telavi.

Kvernadze has managed to score 4 goals and register 3 assists in 23 club appearances this season. He has 3 appearances for his national side.
