Napoli Suffer Injury Blow as Lozano Stretchered off Against Leicester

Napoli’s injury woes continued as Hirving Lozano was stretchered off during their ongoing Europa League clash against Leicester City.

As stated by Calciomercato.com, the Mexican collided with Wilfried Ndidi just before half-time with the Nigerian’s leg hitting his face. Lozano was eventually stretchered off the pitch. Napoli are currently leading 3-2 in the match thanks to a brace from Elif Elmas and a goal from Adam Ounas.

Luciano Spalletti’s side have suffered a series of injuries lately and will be without some crucial players in Kalidou Koulibaly, Victor Osimhen, Fabian Ruiz and Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa. And now Lozano has joined the list as well.

This is a critical period for Napoli and the amount of injuries they have had puts them in a spot of bother, especially with matches against Milan and Juventus around the corner.

The Partenopei are currently third in the Serie A table, just two points behind the Rossoneri. After their match against Leicester, Napoli play Empoli in Naples.
