Napoli have been pursuing Billy Gilmour for a couple of weeks at this point and believe their chase will be successful in short order. The midfielder has enthusiastically accepted the destination as he’s been flattered by the determination of the Azzurri. They need an extra man, more for the future than the present. It doesn’t hurt that his price tag is reasonable. It’d be a welcome turn of events if one of their deals proceeded quickly and without a hitch, but Brighton are quite hard bargainers.
