Spalletti Makes Tottenham Shortlist to Replace Conte

Luciano Spalletti is bound to make history with the Partenopei, as he sits 15 points clear atop the Serie A table en route to the first Scudetto for the club in 33 years. Napoli’s performances have thrown the ex-Inter manager into the spotlight, with Tottenham Hotspur keeping close tabs on Spalletti to replace Antonio Conte.

As per The Athletic (via TuttoNapoli), Spurs chief Daniel Levy has instructed sporting director Fabio Paratici to scour the market for Conte’s successor, with the Italian bound to leave the club at the season’s end.

Atop Paratici’s shortlist is former Barcelona coach Luis Enrique and Eintracht Frankfurt’s Oliver Glasner. However, Napoli’s Spalletti is also admired by the ex-Juventus director along with Porto tactician Ruben Amorim.

Spalletti has spent almost his entire career managing teams in Italy, with Russian outfit Zenit Saint Petersburg being the only exception and his longest reign.

The former Roma and Udinese manager is on the verge of making history with Napoli, with the chance of lifting the club’s third Scudetto title as early as April if they continue on the current trajectory.
