New Tottenham Manager Conte Eyeing Familiar Serie A Faces

Having joined a club for the first time since leaving Inter at the end of last season, new Tottenham Hotspur manager Antonio Conte is already looking to bolster his team after the departure of Portuguese manager Nuno Espirito Santo.

According to reports from UK news outlet Mirror.co.uk, the 52-year-old Italian tactician will not waste any time in making his transfer demands known to Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy.

Tottenham are looking to overturn their shabby start to the new season as they sit 9th in the Premier League with 15 points – losing five and winning as many after ten matchdays, with a goal difference of -7.

The report mentions of a busy January winter transfer window for Spurs as Conte aims at familiar faces from Giuseppe Meazza and the Serie A in general.

The former Inter manager is reportedly keen on bringing three stars in Franck Kessie, Manuel Lazzari and Federico Chiesa but more realistic targets would be Nerazzurri defenders Alessandro Bastoni and Stefan De Vrij.

Midfield ace Marcelo Brozovic, whose contract with Inter expires at the end of the current season is also a realistic transfer target for Conte.

With the support of Fabio Paratici, who has extensive Serie A experience, only time will tell who will move to London under the ex-Chelsea coach.
